Our story
Started because people asked
STIGardiner LLC was founded in 2020 by Sean Gardiner, after friends and former counterparts kept asking for his help with their technology. The firm is based in Minnesota and works with clients there and in Hawaii, Delaware and Washington, DC.
Sean has led IT for more than 30 years across multiple industries, including healthcare, legal technology, and travel and hospitality, much of it on systems bound by government and regulatory requirements. He has run service desks, infrastructure teams and site reliability engineering teams, and has spent years preparing organizations for audits.
He trained as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and is certified in ITIL Service Management Foundations.

What that experience looks like
Audit readiness
Led readiness work for FedRAMP and ISO 42001, and remediation against NIST 800-171, MARS-E and IRS 1075 requirements.
Stability
Raised the stability of a new FISMA-compliant environment from 95% to 99.98% through process improvement.
Migrations
Led infrastructure teams through a government cloud migration that finished ahead of schedule, and a server and database modernization ahead of a data center exit.
Service management
Built ITIL-based incident, problem and change processes, and the dashboards executives used to track them.
Continuity
Designed a disaster recovery and business continuity plan for an enterprise service desk, and led a Y2K remediation effort that finished with no incidents or downtime.
Fraternal organizations
Years of volunteer technology work for fraternal and charitable organizations, including the 2020 delegate voting system that led to Fraternal Ballots.
